It is a good idea to take them down and check that the hook is still secure in the wall not about to fall out also check the picture wirecord on the back of the picture make sure its not worn about to break and the sealing tape on the back of the picture is not coming undone sometimes if the picture is above a heat source the adhesive will dry out and the tape will fall off.
